Lauren Renner is an independent artist from New York, NY specializing in large-format, fine art portraiture, and commercial athlete photography. She has worked for industry professionals including Patrick Demarchelier, Inc., and Fred Marcus Studios, and is a collaborating artist with the Marina Abramovich Institute. 

Her various photographic works have been shown both nationally and internationally at galleries in Mali and throughout the Northeast. She has also been featured in books and publications including Huffington Post, Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed, feature shoot, Beautiful/Decay, Beautiful Savage, CANVAS Magazine, Exposure 2011, and more. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz in 2012 with a BFA Degree in Photography after producing her award-winning thesis project, In Others’ Words. 

One of Lauren’s core beliefs about making art is to do so with the intent to effect change. It is out of this motive that her project In Others’ Words was born nearly three years ago. IOW is still alive and growing, and Lauren is constantly seeking out individuals of all ages, backgrounds, genders, identities, cultures, and abilities to participate and be photographed.

Lauren's passions include surfing off the shores of the East Coast, and traveling the world with her camera around her neck. She is available for both collaborative and commission-based projects, as well as photo assisting in the New York Metropolitan area.
